Fashion: Forever New

Hi everyone :)

I've been wanting to do a post about tis store for a while now, the name of the store is Forever New and it would have to be my absolute favorite store. Unfortunately I think its only in Australia :(

I could literally dress myself out of this store alone haha. The clothes and accessories are very feminine and pretty, lots of nudes, cream, lavender and white colours, with so more bold statement pieces thrown in, such as a leopard print dress they have in there current range.

So I took  few pictures of the current catalog to give you a better idea ^^

Sorry about the glare, I took the pictures at night and the lighting was a bit difficult >.<
So as you can see, very girly and cute, and they stock pretty much everything (bags, clutches, shoes, jewelry, scarves, hats etc). It's not a cheap store, but its not so pricey for most people to afford if they really wanted something, including teenage girls.

And here are some of my own things from Forever New. It's not everything I have, just a few things...

This is a black chiffon layered dress, and I think it was around $70. Dresses around the $150 mark are common so this isn't too bad in comparison.

Here are some gold and pearl bracelets (cost around $30 I think), and a gold and topaz ring which I got just the other day for $15.

And this one I included in my February favorites, I use this satchel bag for uni and it was $70. The material is super soft :)

Well, thats all for now, I hope you enjoyed this post and if you want to see more on Forever New you can have a look at the website http://www.forevernew.com.au/.

Thanks for reading and I always love reading comments so please comment below!

Japan Disaster

Hi Guys. So it's now been 4 days since the disaster in Japan and the grief continues for a country that has been completely shattered. More bad news was released today as radiation from the nuclear reactors in Fukushima has reached as far as Tokyo. The death toll is currently at 2734and at least 3743 people missing, not to mention the thousands of injured people. I've been n contact with friends and family in Japan, Tokyo currently has water, gas and electricity but are starting to see a shortage of food.

This is a terrible thing to happen to such an amazing country with beautifully natured people. I personally lived in Japan for almost a year, attending 11th grade in High School. The friend's I made and families I lived with were unconditionally kind and giving. Wakako, who's blog I have mentioned before was my host family for 3 days in the summer and it was probably the best 3 days of the year. She became my best friend while I was there and we still talk almost everyday! Her family, luckily are all safe and sound.

This is a time for humanity to band together, and remember that  we all live together on this earth as equals. Race, language, culture and borders shouldn't determine what a human life is worth. The best way you can help at this stage is through donation. Even if all you can afford is a dollar, it all counts.

I wanted to include a list of some trustworthy of charities where you can donate. The charities I will include are those that have specific appeals for the Japan disaster so you will know that your money will be going towards the earthquake and tsunami disaster:

(to go to the site to donate just click on the word and it will link you to the page)

A group of me and my friends have decided to put funds together to donate to Global Giving. We are just appealing to friends and family to donate and have set up a secure PayPal account to make things easier. I'll put the link here in case you would like to donate. If we receive a good response I will keep you updated on how much we have been able to raise and when we make the donation.

One last thing, when donating please be careful to avoid scams. It is sad but true that some people use disasters like this to take advantage of people kindness. And if you know of any other safe ways to donate please comment below!

Thats all for now, I will have a more beauty related post up soon :)

Thanks for reading!

A Thought for Japan

Hi guys.

As you have probably seen there was a 8.9 earthquake in Japan today followed by a Tsunami. During your day please take a moment to spare a thought or say a prayer for all the families of the victims affected by the disaster. I do have some friends and family in and near Tokyo, thankfully they are all ok but some people aren't so lucky.

My thoughts are with those in Japan.

POTD (Product of the Day!)

Hi guys!

So I went to the local shopping center today because it's mine and my bf's 3rd year anniversary today and I wanted to get him a present. Naturally I got distracted (hehe), and ended up looking at nail polishes. I wanted like a really nude colour and I found this one by Maybellene....

It's in the colour Iced Mauve and is the sort of colour u can't tell is there unless you really look, which is what I wanted. I don't really know why, but yeah haha. So I came home and put it on just then and omg... I've used those dry in 60 second type ones before but it usually like they dry a bit faster but still stay sticky for a while. But this one is seriously dry in 50 seconds, bump proof, smudge proof type dry. I loved it so much I had to do a post straight away lol. I want to go back and get a few more colours, and I'm hoping there's a top coat too. Aaaaaand it was only $4.95! yay :)

Also, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to my friend who made my new blog header!! I don't have Photoshop so she made it for me <3 I love it ^__^

Well, thats all for now, just wanted to show u my awesome find :) Back to studying....

How cute are my little study buddies? Hehe

FANCL review

Hi everyone!

The item I'm reviewing today I've been wanting to review for a while, it's the FANCL mild cleansing oil. I was given this by my boyfriend's mum, who is Japanese, for Christmas in 2009.

This was a limited edition pink one at the time, the usual bottle is blue and has no picture. While its called a cleansing oil its pretty much a make up remover. I would take my make up off with this and then cleanse my face as usual.

It was given to me because my bf's mum noticed that every time I took my make up off and washed my face she noticed I still had some eyeliner that didn't wash off properly. She is a professional make up artist and this is her favorite make up remover.

Oh and my absolute favorite thing about this product is, it's an oil base, but it washes off with water and doesn't leave any oily residue!! The whole bottle lasted me like 6 months, using it everyday which i think is great quality.

I ran out ages ago but haven't been able to find it anywhere to order until recently! But now I have found it I will be ordering it as ASAP! The website you can order it from is Sasa (just click the word and it will take u to the site). Right now they're having a a free shipping offer on orders over $75 <3

This is my absolute favorite make up remover of all time and I recommend it 100%!

Well, that's all for now... back to studying -_-

Date Night: Hair and Make Up

Every Friday night my boyfriend and I have a date night. We live together so I think it's important to set aside time each week to focus on doing something fun together :) So I wanted to do a date night hair and make up blog, and this is what I did last Friday night...

This week was a more romantic feel, pink and brown eyes, soft curls and polka dots! Oh, and I died my hair a couple of weeks ago! I have been brunette most of my life but I went blonde mid last year, and now I'm back to brown. It's much less damaging to my hair.

So I'll start with my make up. I did a nice soft look, I think pink and brown are just so romantic put together so I chose those colours for the look.

I used number 1 as an all over lid cover, then used 2 and 3 combined on the outer V and smudged it out using a my MAC blending brush.

Then to darken the crease I used number 5. You can't really see the number but it's the bottom colour on the second column. This colour is a bronzy brown colour and I find using brown really brings the warmth of the pink out and stops the pink colour from making your eyes look irritated.

I also used number 4 to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. This just helps to open your eyes up and make u look fresh and awake! All the eyeshadow colours are from my Sedona Lace palette, which I got here.

I only used a bit of concealer where necessary and a pressed powder for my face, which I've been doing a lot recently to let my skin breathe a bit.

I used number 1 (MAC's bare study paint pot) as a base for my eyes to stop my eyeshadow from creasing. The I applied number 3 (MAC's eye khol in smolder) to line the lid and waterline. Lastly on the eyes, I used number 4 (Maybelline's Pulse Perfection mascara) on my lashes.

For my cheeks I used Rimmel's blush in Santa Rose (2), and on my lips I went for a soft nude pink to complement my eye colours. For lipstick I used CoverGirl's 'in the nude' (6), with my new NYX sheer gloss over the top (5).

Then for my hair I just did soft curls. When I curl my hair I like split my hair into 4 sections (2 on the top and 2 on the bottom) and curl away from my face. I used about a 1 inch barrel curler, pulled my fingers through my hair once I finished curling and lightly sprayed with hair spray. I hate the feeling of hard hair so I like to use flexible hair spray instead :)

So, that was my date night hair and make up, I hope you liked it and leave a comment on what you like to do on date night!

February Favorites

Hi guys! February is finally over (it's the hottest month of the year in Australia) and it's finally starting to cool down. Being the end of the month I thought a February Favorites post would be fun :) So here are my favorite products for Feb...

Firstly, I have a new mascara I got from the chemist, it was only cheap, like $10. It's the Maybelline Pulse Perfection vibrating mascara, and it would have to be my new favorite mascara! I have tried both drugstore and high end mascara's and I find there isn't much difference so I usually go with drugstore.

My next favorite is actually a repurchase, but I stopped using it for a bit and now I'm back to using it so I thought I'd include it. For my daily make up I like to just use concealer on necessary spots (under the eyes, on any redness or imperfections) and then I use this powder all over my face. It gives a really flawless finish. This one is by JQC Cosmetics and it's a pressed powder in medium beige.

Then I have a new Mineral Powder blush by Maybelline in soft mauve. It's a really pretty darker pink.

I finally decided to try a dry shampoo so I got this Tresemme one for oily/straight to normal hair. This one smells really good, it's kind of citrusy. My hair gets oily very quickly because I touch it a lot when straightening everyday so I love that this makes my hair last longer between washes :)

Next is a fashion piece. I went shopping with my boyfriend a number of weeks ago and I saw this bag and wanted it so bad for Uni but I'd already spent too much money that day haha. But last Friday my boyfriend went back and bought it for me as a surprise! He's so sweet :) It was from Forever New which is one of my fave stores, and was $70. The material is so soft but still really strong so I don't feel like it will break with all my books in it!

Then I got this lip gloss from NYX, it doesn't seem to have a colour name on it though which is weird... It just says Sheer Gloss. It's a really pretty nude pink and I love it because it is matte rather than shimmery, and it smells like grape! yum :)

This was in my daily skin routine post but I wanted to include it here too. This is the green Garnier roll on for you eyes and I absolutely love it!! It really helps with bags and dark circles and it makes your eyes feel really awake!!

Lastly is my little cutie Molly!! She my favorite all the time though :P Hehe

Well thats all for today, I hope you enjoyed the post and thanks for reading!
