LoveClothing.com Review

Hi beauties! I had intended on writing a different post today, but I woke up to the arrival of my LoveClothing order and was so excited that I decided to do a review instead. These are the Pieces Funky Fox Jeggings in Bermuda Green and Dark Coral. They are still available (and on sale!!) on the LoveClothing.com site: in Green HERE; and in Dark Coral HERE. I got both of them for $50.55 Australian Dollars, including shipping which is a steal!

I placed my order for these on the 11th of January and they arrived today (23rd January), so they took around 2 weeks to arrive. However, in saying that I had actually originally ordered a navy pair which were unfortunately discontinued. LoveClothing emailed me to let me know and I asked for the dark coral ones in place of the navy. They were so helpful and quick… 2 weeks to ship to Australia including having to make changes to my order is pretty amazing!! Shipping to here usually takes foreverrrrr. I've placed orders on eBay that have taken up to 2 months before!

The quality on these are amazing, they look like your wearing jeans with all the comfort of leggings, including an elastic waist. I found the green to be very true to size, however the coral ran a little smaller. I got the M/L in the coral (which is the only size left at the moment) and it fit quite well.

I can't wait until the weather gets a bit cooler so I can style them, I think the green would look great with a white chunky knit sweater or a printed sweater like THIS one. For now I put them on this morning just to grab a quick snap for you guys…

They also have grey, red and yellow ones available on the website, honestly I'm considering buying the red ones as well!! haha!

All in all, I'm very impressed with the store and will definitely be shopping there again soon :)

Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

2012 Makeup Favorites

Now that the craziness of Christmas and family has subsided it's time to get back to blogging! And what better to do for my first post of the New Year than a recap on my 2012 favourites. I discovered some really great products in 2012 which I think will be staples for a long time. So here they are!!

Urban Decay Naked Palette II

I literally use this every single day that I put makeup on (which is most days). It's so handy to have everything you need for so many different looks all in one. The quality and pigmentation of these shadows is just amazing!

NARS Laguna Bronzer & Penny Lane Blush

This bronzer is hands down the best I've ever tried. It just gives the perfect glow without being too shimmery and glittery. The blush is a cream blush and is the ultimate natural rosy colour, you need to make sure to apply a powder blush over the top so it doesn't melt off though (especially in the Australian heat!)

M.A.C Cooling Liquid Powder - Truth & Light

This was actually a gift from a friend Wakako, you can use it all over your face but I think its the perfect highlighter.

M.A.C Prep + Prime

This is a salmon based colour correction pen for getting rid of dark circles. I have terrible dark circles and this stuff works wonders! It is a strong salmon colour to counteract the purples and blues under your eyes so you need to make sure to apply your foundation over the top.

Revlon Colourstay Foundation

This is my all time favourite foundation that I have tried so far, I've gone through about 5 bottles of this!  It has very build-able coverage, so you can choose to have a lighter coverage or more full coverage. I use number 180 Sand Beige.

Sigma F84 & P86 Brushes

This is what I like to use to apply my foundation and concealer. I use the Angled Top Kabuki F84 for foundation and the Precision Tapered P86 for concealer. They give a great finish and the angles are so unique and perfect for application!

Covergirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara

I don't like wasting money on high end mascaras and find that everyone I've ever bought was disappointing. Covergirl make amazing mascaras for a fraction of the price so save your money for something thats worth paying the extra for!

DollyWink Liquid Liner Pen

This is a Japanese brand liner and is my all time favourite. I think I paid under $20 and am yet to find anything that beats it! It handles well and is easy to use and very pigmented.

M.A.C Eye Kohls in Smoulder and Fascinating

These liners are nice and creamy and will last you forever. While they come with quite a high price tag in Aus (I paid about $40 each!) they are definitely worth the money! Particularly Smoulder, my friends are forever wanting to borrow that one haha.

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Last but not least, I couldn't live without my Urban Decay eyeshadow primer! This is what makes my eyes last through 11 days at work without a smudge! A must for any makeup lover.

Let me know what your 2012 faves were in the comments below so I can check them out!

CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara

There's not many mascara's that I have tried so far that from the first application has amazed me. I'd heard so many good things about this mascara and finally got around to purchasing it. I have to say, what everyone says is exactly right! I looooove this mascara, it makes my lashes look long and full and very black. I also love that it is build-able, as you add more and more layers it doesn't get clumpy or make your lashes bunch together, it just adds beautiful length and volume. It's definately my new favorite everyday mascara :) I will say I do prefer a different mascara from ModelCo for when I go out at night, which makes you seriously look like you have fake lashes on as it has fibers that add you your natural lashes. I will do a review on that in a separate post.

The CoverGirl lash blast is the mascara I use everyday now, it is absolutely amazing and so inexpensive! I give it 5 stars and can't believe didn't purchase this earlier :)

Let me know if you have use/like this mascara or what you fave mascara is!!

Mini Lip Haul!

So Revlon had a buy one get one free sale on at target for lip products... which for me is exciting because in Australia it costs like $25 for a Revlon lipstick >.< I picked up 3 lipsticks and 1 lip-stain and I also grabbed a CoverGirl lipstick and 2 lip balms.

Here's what I got....

In order from top to bottom: CoverGirl's Rapture, Revlon's Coralberry, Revlon's Soft Nude, Revlon's True Red

Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Twilight

Nivea lipbalm in Fruity Shine Pink Guava (left) and Pure & Natural Milk & Honey

Sally Hansen Salon Effects

I know its probably old news to most but Sally Hansen has only recently brought out the salon effects nail strips in Australia. I finally got a couple of boxes today to try and I've only just put them on so it's too early to comment on how long they last but so far I'm quite impressed with the quality! They have a nice smooth finish which is great because I was a bit worried they wouldn't feel very smooth.

When I was first applying them it was a little awkward but after you do a few nails I got the hang of it :)

The two colours I got are 280 Blue Ice (left) and 350 Misbehaved (right)...

Blue Ice is a really pretty sparkly blue and Misbehaved is gold with like a black fishnet pattern.

Today I chose to do Misbehaved and this is how it turned out...

Let me know what you think and any colours you've tried and really love :)

(those are lipstick swatches from today on my hand by the way lol)

Revlon nail polishes

TGIF!! Well, in Australia it is anyway... Being a student it's sometimes hard to find a good life balance so I have a rule that unless I have assignments due I don't study on weekends. I think its good to give yourself a break :)

Today I wanted to share my current favorite nail polishes. I started buying Revlon polishes a few months ago and have fallen in love with them. The brush isn't too big but it's not teeny tiny either, and they have one of the longest no-chip life of all the polishes I have. So here's the colours I've collected so far....

The Peach Smoothie and Bubble Gum colours are also scented which I love! The Peach Smoothie one make you want to eat your nails haha.

I also took Molly to the groomers like 2 weeks ago for the first time and I just wanted to share this picture...

The bow didn't last long but it was soooo cute! >.<  I think I'm going to take her again in 2 weeks.

Let me know what you think of Revlon's nail polishes and any colours you recommend.
Thanks for reading!

My hair routine

Hey guys!

Today I just want to show you the products I use regularly on my hair. I never used to be, but when I went blonde I became very fussy over what I used in my hair because my hair was so dry and damaged from the bleach. It took me a long time, but eventually I got it to a healthy level and I've kinda stuck with the same products because they obviously seemed to work! :)

I recently went back to brown so these products are good for all colours, the only thing I did differently was use purple shampoo when I was blonde to tone down the brassiness. So heres all the products I use....

So here I have my shampoo and conditioner, hair mask, serum, heat protector, and my comb.

The shampoo and conditioner is by L'Oreal Professionals and its the absolute repair one, they also have one for breakage and one for locking in colour. Seeing as my hair is very dry and is prone to damage I always get tis one, and I've been using it for almost a year now, and I just like to use a wide tooth comb to run it all the way through my hair in the shower. It's absolutely amazing, but it isn't the cheapest. Each bottle is around $25.00.

This is a hair mask from the same brand, but its from the anti-breakage line not the absolute repair. I've only just started using this but I absolutely love it so far. I like to replace my conditioner with this once a week.

Lastly, this is my heat protector and my serum. The heat protector is probably the product  like the least of all the products I use. I definitely think I can find one much better than this but I didn't want to be wasteful. So I just spray this all over my hair before I use any hot tools. The serum is just one from a Korean store I picked up. My hair is naturally really curly so it gets frizzy, this just tames any fly aways.

And this is the end result! Molly is so cute. When I sit at my desk she wines for cuddles haha.

Hope you liked the post, comment below to let me know what you think and let me know any hair products you swear by!

Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner Review

Hi guys!

Sorry it's been so long, things have been crazy hectic lately. Uni has been nuts, I'm taking an extra subject this semester and I've been struggling to keep up. Hopefully seeing as assignment time is coming to an end I can start posting more again. I'm going shopping soon for a heap of winter stuff so keep your eye out for a haul! :)

Today I just wanted to do a quick review on Bobbi Brown's longwear gel eye-liner.

I wanted to buy this product for so long, I got it in January sometime and it definitely didn't dissapoint! I've definitely been converted haha. It goes on so smooth and for more beginners it's a lot easier to use than liquid liner. It's very easy to make a mistake and hard to fix when you use liquid liner but gel liner can easily be fixed.

The only thing I didn't like was the brush I got with it, I prefer to just use an angle brush.

We'll thats all for now, just a quick update. I hope all the college and school students are working hard!! :)

Fashion: Forever New

Hi everyone :)

I've been wanting to do a post about tis store for a while now, the name of the store is Forever New and it would have to be my absolute favorite store. Unfortunately I think its only in Australia :(

I could literally dress myself out of this store alone haha. The clothes and accessories are very feminine and pretty, lots of nudes, cream, lavender and white colours, with so more bold statement pieces thrown in, such as a leopard print dress they have in there current range.

So I took  few pictures of the current catalog to give you a better idea ^^

Sorry about the glare, I took the pictures at night and the lighting was a bit difficult >.<
So as you can see, very girly and cute, and they stock pretty much everything (bags, clutches, shoes, jewelry, scarves, hats etc). It's not a cheap store, but its not so pricey for most people to afford if they really wanted something, including teenage girls.

And here are some of my own things from Forever New. It's not everything I have, just a few things...

This is a black chiffon layered dress, and I think it was around $70. Dresses around the $150 mark are common so this isn't too bad in comparison.

Here are some gold and pearl bracelets (cost around $30 I think), and a gold and topaz ring which I got just the other day for $15.

And this one I included in my February favorites, I use this satchel bag for uni and it was $70. The material is super soft :)

Well, thats all for now, I hope you enjoyed this post and if you want to see more on Forever New you can have a look at the website http://www.forevernew.com.au/.

Thanks for reading and I always love reading comments so please comment below!

POTD (Product of the Day!)

Hi guys!

So I went to the local shopping center today because it's mine and my bf's 3rd year anniversary today and I wanted to get him a present. Naturally I got distracted (hehe), and ended up looking at nail polishes. I wanted like a really nude colour and I found this one by Maybellene....

It's in the colour Iced Mauve and is the sort of colour u can't tell is there unless you really look, which is what I wanted. I don't really know why, but yeah haha. So I came home and put it on just then and omg... I've used those dry in 60 second type ones before but it usually like they dry a bit faster but still stay sticky for a while. But this one is seriously dry in 50 seconds, bump proof, smudge proof type dry. I loved it so much I had to do a post straight away lol. I want to go back and get a few more colours, and I'm hoping there's a top coat too. Aaaaaand it was only $4.95! yay :)

Also, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to my friend who made my new blog header!! I don't have Photoshop so she made it for me <3 I love it ^__^

Well, thats all for now, just wanted to show u my awesome find :) Back to studying....

How cute are my little study buddies? Hehe

FANCL review

Hi everyone!

The item I'm reviewing today I've been wanting to review for a while, it's the FANCL mild cleansing oil. I was given this by my boyfriend's mum, who is Japanese, for Christmas in 2009.

This was a limited edition pink one at the time, the usual bottle is blue and has no picture. While its called a cleansing oil its pretty much a make up remover. I would take my make up off with this and then cleanse my face as usual.

It was given to me because my bf's mum noticed that every time I took my make up off and washed my face she noticed I still had some eyeliner that didn't wash off properly. She is a professional make up artist and this is her favorite make up remover.

Oh and my absolute favorite thing about this product is, it's an oil base, but it washes off with water and doesn't leave any oily residue!! The whole bottle lasted me like 6 months, using it everyday which i think is great quality.

I ran out ages ago but haven't been able to find it anywhere to order until recently! But now I have found it I will be ordering it as ASAP! The website you can order it from is Sasa (just click the word and it will take u to the site). Right now they're having a a free shipping offer on orders over $75 <3

This is my absolute favorite make up remover of all time and I recommend it 100%!

Well, that's all for now... back to studying -_-

Dior Brush Review

Hi guys! Today I'm doing a review on the Dior Backstage Makeup brush set. I got this as a Christmas present from my boyfriend, he did such a good job of choosing! Although he did have his mum on the phone, who's a professional make up artist, to help him haha.

So this is how it comes, inside the silver box is a leather zip up case which holds the brushes. I particularly like the style of the case because brush rolls can be annoying at times.

Inside the case u get 5 brushes, which are shown above. They have a sleek design with a metal handle, and each brush has the name of the brush printed on it. So the brushes you get are:

1. Face (i use this for framing my face with bronzer)
2. Blush (i use for highlighting my face)
3. Lips (this brush allows more precision application and a more flawless effect)
4. Flat eyeliner (i use this to line my eyes with eyeshadow for a softer more hazy look)
5. Eyeshadow (this brush is nice and fluffy for blending into the crease)

I have to say, I don't have a single bad thing to say about these brushes. While they are a little pricey, they are worth every penny. The hair is amazingly soft and I've been using them everyday since Christmas and have had 0 hair fallout. If your looking to get good quality brushes and have a slightly larger budget I definitely recommend these :)
